Imperial M‑89 Prussian Kinder Sword
(31 1/2 inches ‑ 20 1/2 inch blade)
Large Prussian eagle on backstrap. Grip is wire‑wrapped sharks skin. Blade is lightly double etched and is complete with red felt blade buffer pad. Scabbard is nickel silver with two rings, and is completely dent free. Attached is an Imperial style portepee. (See #254 List #48) See Johnson's "Imperial Volume I", page 253 for similar example). $300

Imperial Lion Head Kinder Sword
(28 1/2 inches ‑ 24 inch blade)
Cavalry style langet (cross sabers w/wreath) with reverse bearing a plain crest surrounded by a wreath. Dent free blade has a dull finish with slight spotting. Single ringed scabbard has a slight crease on upper obverse, however retains 90% of black paint. Grip is sharks skin wrapped with double twisted silver wire. Bow is devoid of design. Ferral is nicely etched $300

Imperial Army Kinder Sword
(27 1/2 inches ‑ 22 inch blade)
Standard Eickhorn model #189 NCO Saber or #40 sword (page 75 Angolia, Swords of Germany) and (page 192 Angolia, Swords of Hitler's Third Reich) respectively; or possible an Officers Imperial sword (page 365 Angolia). Hilt is plain steel having a wire wrapped sharks skin grip. Black painted scabbard retains 98% of original paint, is dent free and has two rings. Bow is unadorned. Blade is excellent. $250

Army/Navy Kinder Sword
(25 inches ‑ 19 1/2 inch blade)
Model appears to be Eickhorn #920 or #942 lion head model (Page 150 Eickhorn Imperial catalog), but with a wire wrapped white celluloid grip (Naval style) rather than the usual sharks skin (see picture). Crest shaped langet is void of insignia (generic pattern). Nickel silver scabbard is dent free having a single ring. Blade is mint. $450

(23 1/2 inches ‑ 18 inch blade)
Model appears to be Eickhorn #920 or #942 lion head model (Page 150 Eickhorn Imperial catalog), with a sharks skin covered grip (see picture). Model is identical (but shorter) to the example with the white celluloid grip. Crest shaped langet is void of insignia (generic pattern). Red felt buffer is intact. Nickel silver scabbard is dent free having two rings. Nicely etched blade. $250

Artillery Lion Head Kinder Sword
(28 inches ‑ 22 inch blade)
Langet depicts crossed cannons in oval. Grip is sharks skin with a wire wrap. Knuckle guard has what appears to be a knight design. Nickel silver scabbard is dent free having two rings. Blade shows some scratches. Includes child’s light brown belt (lined with green felt) complete with hangers and Imperial portepee (yellow stem). $250

Jawless Lion Head Pattern Kinder Sword
(26 inches ‑ 22 inch blade)
Obverse langet has a plain oval crest. Reverse langet is unadorned. Grip is sharks skin with a twisted gold wire wrap. Bow is nicely etched in deep relief. Nickel silver scabbard is dent free having two rings. Blade is in excellent condition showing only in/out wear. $400

Artillery Lion Head Kinder Sword
(26 1/2 inches ‑ 20 inch blade)
Beautiful deep relief motif with langet depicting crossed cannons in oval surrounded by a wreath. Reverse also depicts a wreath encircled plain crest. Grip is sharks skin with a triple wire wrap (center twisted). Black painted scabbard is dent free having two rings. Blade is deeply etched with pattern identical to that on the Navy WKC model. Ferral is also designed in deep floral relief. Attached is a silver portepee having blue and orange stitching on the strap. $400 sold

Imperial M‑52 Prussian Basket Hilt Kinder Sword
(26 1/2 inches, 22 inch blade)
Large nickel basket hilt has a black celluloid grip wound with triple copper and silver wire. Blade is bright showing only normal in and out wear. Black painted scabbard has a single ring and maintains 95 percent of paint. Sword appears to be for someone assigned to a supply train. (See Angolia, pages #378 and 393). $300

Imperial Bavarian Train Kinder Sword
(23 inches, 18 inch blade)
Very short sword having a copper basket hilt. Grip is sharkskin and has a double copper wire wrap. Blade has much wear indicating period use. Scabbard retains 75 percent of it black paint and has a single scabbard ring. Sword comes with a most unique portepee; an elongated red, white and blue colored piece resembling an elongated drum with white fringe. It is attached to the hilt by a leather

Third Reich Kinder Sword
(27 1/2 inches, 22 inch blade)
Gorgeous example of a personalized (Paul Heinz Moll) Army/Navy kinder sword. Blade is in perfect condition bearing a double deeply etched motif, with the name appearing in the center panel. Single ringed scabbard is in excellent condition, with a white felt washer in tack. Grip is white Bakelite having a double gold wire wrap. Crossguard is adorned with a Nazi eagle having outstretched wings clutching a swastika. Identical pattern can be found on page 331 of Angolia's book Swords of Germany. $1000

Third Reich Kinder Sword
(29 inches, 25 inch blade)
Outstanding example of a deeply engraved Army kinder sword. Blade is in perfect condition bearing a double deeply etched motif, with the center panel void of a name Grip is black Bakelite having a double gold wire wrap. Crossguard has great detail, adorned with a Nazi eagle having outstretched wings clutching a swastika. Lion head is set off with two ruby red glass eyes. A similar pattern can be found on page 68 of Angolia's book Swords of Germany. Also a kinder version (void of etching and glass eyes) is at page 287 of Johnson's Volume IV. $1100
